Client Money Protection

CMP schemes give landlords and tenants confidence that their money is safe when it is being handled by an agent. Where an agent is a member of a CMP scheme, it enables a tenant or landlord to recover any money held by the agent on that person’s behalf that the agent fails to repay—for example due to misappropriation or insolvency.

We are members of Client Money Protect.  Further details can be found at www.clientmoneyprotect.co.uk

Property Redress Scheme

It is a legal requirement for all lettings agents and property managers in England to belong to a government approved redress scheme from 1 October 2014.

We are members of the Property Redress Scheme. Further details can be found at www.theprs.co.uk

Deposit Protection Service

An Agent/landlord must put your deposit in a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme (TDP) if you rent your home on an assured shorthold tenancy.

Your landlord does not have to protect a holding deposit (money you pay to ‘hold’ a property before an agreement is signed). Once you become a tenant, the holding deposit becomes a deposit, which must be protected.

The deposit must be registered in a TDP scheme even if your deposit is paid by a third party, for example parents.

We are members of the Deposit Protection Service Custodial Scheme.

Details of the scheme can be found at www.depositprotection.com
